An Unexpected Surprise at Central Komodo
This trip was nothing short of spectacular, with an unexpected encounter on the last day that is forever etched in our memories - a DUGONG (or also known as sea cow) sighting at Turtle Point! Yes, you read that right, and I repeat DUGONG at Turtle point. This rare sighting of an incredibly shy and gentle creature only comes once in a blue moon at the Komodo National Park, and we were the only divers lucky enough to have witnessed it. No other divers from other boats were present during our dive. It certainly felt like it was exclusively reserved for us, EcoPro Divers. I say Lady Luck was definitely on our side on this dive.
Nothing Can Stop us from Finding the Ocean’s Best Sights
Overall, the weather has been cooperative aside from a little wind around Manta Alley and a sudden strong current in most of the dive sites. It is sort of a test of skill that made it more exciting. Spotting tiny ocean creatures such as frogfish, seahorse, and ghost pipefish while rapidly drifting with the current is kinda a special skill, don’t you think? And of course, for divers who love to see bigger stuff, diving in Komodo will never disappoint; you name it, manta rays, turtles, sharks, and eagle rays were present during this trip. It was indeed another wonderful diving experience for our guests.

Our Land Adventures
Ocean fanatics also need a break from the ocean from time to time, so customised land excursions are organised in between dives. Of course, the most requested and popular land attraction is a visit to the Komodo Dragons. After all, no trip to Komodo National Park will be complete without a peek at the famous Komodo Dragons, right? So off we go, and during our leisure walk, we were greeted with about eight Komodo Dragons (the biggest and heaviest lizards on earth!), not bad, I would say. We also had a short hike up the hills of Padar, and on top, we were rewarded with a sweeping view of a rugged and lush landscape. Later on, we also treated our guests to chill and relax on the stunning pink beach.
Needless to say, our guests had a great time both above and underwater on this trip, like always!
