Epic Encounters: Manta Rays and Tiger Shark Diving in Maldives South

Our expedition began with a bang in the far south. The Maldives liveaboard experience reached a peak early on at Manta Point in Addu, where these graceful giants shadowed our divers on multiple dives. While the currents tested our skills, the sight of Mantas gliding effortlessly through the blue made every drop worth it.

The thrill continued as we headed to the legendary "Tiger Zoo". Here, the ocean showed its true power – we enjoyed a front-row seat to the most impressive Tiger Shark action in the archipelago. Seeing these apex predators in their natural habitat, managed with the utmost respect for marine behavior, is a core part of our mission to foster deep connections with the underwater world.

Equator Crossing on Maldives Liveaboard: Community Celebration on EcoPro Seascape

One of the most magical aspects of an EcoProDivers safari is the sense of community that forms on deck. As we cruised toward Huvadu Atoll, we reached a true milestone: crossing the equator. We celebrated this maritime tradition with a "Kurumba" ceremony under the stars. (Our EcoPro Family Members, of course, know that means: Coconut.)

The evening was a vibrant mix of dancing and laughter, perfectly capturing our "We Care" philosophy – not just for the environment, but for the joy and connection of our guests.

This spirit of togetherness extended to our island visits, including a breathtaking sunset stroll on Vilingili and a traditional BBQ island night, where the bond between our international guests and local expert guides truly shone.

Pristine Corals & Whale Sharks: Top Dive Sites in Huvadu and Nilandhu Atolls

As we moved into the channels of Huvadu and Nilandhu, the focus shifted toward the incredible biodiversity of the Maldives. At Kondey Garden, our divers were stoked to find exceptionally healthy coral reefs, a sight that reinforces our commitment to sustainable liveaboard diving.

Despite varying currents, the underwater show never stopped: dozens of green turtles, schools of eagle rays on the sandy slopes, and even the rare sighting of leopard sharks.

To top off an incredible week, we spent time in the whale shark area. Though the giants of the sea were elusive, appearing only briefly, the anticipation and the high-energy atmosphere on the Seascape kept everyone’s spirits soaring.
